FIELD GUIDE NOTES
Lupine — Lupinus polyphyllus
Lupines are tall flowering plants known for their upright spikes of densely packed blossoms in shades of purple, blue, pink, and white.
They are commonly seen along roadsides, fields, and coastal areas throughout the Maritimes, where they bloom in early summer.
Although strongly associated with the Maritime landscape, large-leaved lupine is not native to New Brunswick and has become naturalized in many parts of Atlantic Canada.
