Rosy Maple Moth — Dryocampa rubicunda
The rosy maple moth is a small, brightly coloured moth known for its soft pink and yellow wings. Its colouring can vary quite a bit from one individual to another.
Its caterpillars feed mainly on maple trees, including red, sugar, and silver maple, while the adults do not feed at all.
In northern parts of its range, adults are typically seen from late spring through summer. The species occurs in eastern North America and has been recorded in New Brunswick.
